On July 9th, this Sunday, Emma Reyes, a highly influential Colombian painter, writer, and cartoonist, would have celebrated her 104th birthday. She is recognized as one of the most significant artists of the 20th century in Latin America.

To honor this occasion, Google has dedicated its Doodle of the Day to Emma Reyes. The Doodle serves as an illustration that greets users of the renowned search engine worldwide.

Born in Bogotá in 1919 and passing away in Bordeaux, France, in 2003, Emma Reyes faced a life filled with adversities and tragedies. Despite these challenges, she managed to overcome them and emerged as an artist of international renown.

As a result of this, Señal Colombia and Quinto Color have joined forces to co-produce a captivating historical fiction series inspired by Emma Reyes' life, focusing on her childhood characterized by poverty and abandonment.

The inaugural season of this highly anticipated audiovisual production premiered in 2021 and achieved remarkable success, garnering four India Catalina Awards, including the prestigious accolade for Best Series or Soap Opera.
